METALOGIX SHAREPOINT WEBINAR ON JUNE 1, 2011

SHAREPOINT STORAGE OPTIMIZATION FOCUS OF METALOGIX
WEBINAR ON JUNE 1, 2011

Online Event Offers Best Practices for Improving SharePoint Performance and
Decreasing Expensive SQL Storage with BLOB Offloading

WASHINGTON, DC May 27, 2011 – Metalogix Software, the leading provider in content lifecycle management (CLM) solutions for Microsoft® SharePoint®, Exchange®, and legacy environments, today announced an upcoming webinar which will offer valuable information on how to improve SharePoint performance and decrease expensive SQL storage by moving binary large objects (BLOBs) out of the SQL database. The webinar, titled “SharePoint Storage Optimization – An Introduction to Metalogix StoragePoint,” and presented by Dr. Steve Marsh, EMEA product marketing manager at Metalogix, will take place on June 1, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. EST/11:00 a.m. BST.

SharePoint is a robust platform for enterprise content, but with growth comes performance manageability, and the cost of storage challenges. Unstructured SharePoint data, or binary large objects (BLOBs), can become a significant performance drain on SharePoint’s SQL database. Removing BLOBs from SharePoint can enable organizations to create a more scalable and better performing SharePoint environment while reducing overall storage costs by moving content to less expensive storage tiers.

“Removing BLOBs from SharePoint has become a popular subject recently, but there are still many myths and uncertainty about how best to implement a solution of this nature,” said Marsh. “This presentation will demonstrate how easy it is to remove BLOBs from SharePoint with Metalogix StoragePoint as well as implement archiving and hierarchical storage management.”

Registration for this webinar is open now. You can register today by visiting: http://ping.fm/zgAki

About StoragePoint

Winner of Microsoft’s® SharePoint® 2010 Innovation award, Metalogix StoragePoint enables organizations to keep their unstructured content such as PDF, JPEG images and Microsoft Word documents – also known as Binary Large Objects (BLOBs), out of SharePoint’s content databases and offload them onto virtually any mix of NAS or SAN storage – on premise or in the cloud. Installed and configured in minutes, StoragePoint provides immediate ROI by enabling companies to leverage cost effective storage without sacrificing performance, functionality or user experience. QueCloud Video - Introduction to the Industry's First Data Integration and Data Management Cloud - http://bit.ly/mBsuhS

Finding a way to integrate cloud applications and data poses a major challenge for companies who want to
make their systems work together for important business functions such as
customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP).
QueCloud from Queplix™ Corp . offers a
highly automated, turnkey solution that allows them to spend their project
dollars more wisely by avoiding long service engagements, manual processes, and
the constant wholesale movement of entire data sets.

In this video , Michael Zuckerman, chief marketing officer for
Queplix, provides an introductory overview of QueCloud, the first data
integration and data management cloud. QueCloud leverages the powerful
architecture of Queplix Virtual Data Manager™, the company's flagship product which drives the
application and data integration process. QueCloud enables the configuration of
a series of intelligent Application Software Blades™ that identify and extract key data and associated
security information from many different target applications such as Salesforce® (NYSE:
CRM), Google® (NASDAQ: GOOG), and others. The blades identify and
extract key metadata and associated security information from the data stored
within these applications, then bring it into the Queplix Engine to support
data integration with other applications.

Once applications are integrated, QueCloud keeps critical customer, product and financial data
consistent between applications with Data Harmonization™ an automated data synchronization process. QueCloud can scale up to the largest enterprise, or more cost effectively for small or medium
businesses. Legacy on-premise applications such as SAP®, PeopleSoft® and others
can be integrated just as quickly and easily. And because no SQL programming is
required, QueCloud places more control in the hands of the business user,
further eliminating unnecessary complexity for companies large or small.

Atlantis Computing Expands Executive Team With Key Hires From VMware and Citrix - http://bit.ly/iwypp2

Atlantis Computing Expands Executive Team With Key Hires From VMware and Citrix

Joel Davis and David Cumberworth Join Atlantis to Lead North America and European Sales Efforts to Address Demand for its VDI Storage and Performance
Optimization Solutions

Mountain View, CA – Atlantis Computing, a leading provider of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) storage and performance optimization solutions, today announced that former VMware and Citrix executives Joel Davis and David Cumberworth have joined Atlantis Computing’s management team. Under their leadership, Davis and Cumberworth will lead the North America and European sales organizations to address the rapid growth and demand for the company’s award-winning VDI performance and optimization solutions.

As the Vice President of Sales for North America, Joel Davis brings to Atlantis Computing his four years of experience building and managing the VMware reseller channel organization, where he was responsible for over $800 million in revenue in his last year. As the Vice President of Sales for Northern Europe, David Cumberworth runs Atlantis Computing’s European headquarters in London England, where he draws on his domain expertise running the enterprise sales team for Citrix Systems in the UK and personally developing and closing some of the largest Citrix deals including Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Credit Suisse and Bank of America.

Atlantis Computing delivers a software virtual machine that complements Citrix, VMware, and Quest virtual desktop deployments to slash storage needs, boost desktop performance and permit IT organizations to use anti-virus without impacting server densities. Atlantis ILIO can cut VDI CAPEX by up to 75 percent – the result of making it possible to deploy VDI with less storage and allowing IT organizations to use lower cost storage options – while boosting the desktop performance.

Multi-Billion Dollar VDI Market Opportunity
According to Gartner, the VDI marketplace is expected to exceed $65 billion by 2013. Atlantis Computing is capitalizing on this market opportunity by strengthening its executive team with some of the industry’s top VDI talent to address the growing demand for Atlantis Computing products from North America and Europe.

Joel Davis is responsible for building and managing the channel in North America across all routes to market including Citrix and VMware channel partners that provide Atlantis ILIO as a complementary solution for Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View and Quest vWorkspace deployments. He brings over 22 years of high energy, high performance P&L results in the virtualization, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and outsource service industries. Before joining Atlantis Computing, Joel ran channel operations for VMware in North America where he co-created VMware's go-to-market and business strategy known as vPractice. In addition, Davis held Vice President positions at Tech Data, Global Center, and Ingram Micro.

“Many VDI deployments are facing cost and performance challenges as initial adopters try to scale small deployments and trials,” said Joel Davis, vice president of sales, North America, Atlantis Computing. “Unfortunately this has the effect of slowing and sometime stalling the adoption of VDI in these accounts. Atlantis removes these obstacles with a complementary product to Citrix, VMware and Quest solutions that their channel partners can bring to every VDI deployment – it’s just a no brainer for the channel and our customers.”

David Cumberworth is responsible for expanding the company’s footprint across Northern Europe. Cumberworth ran the Enterprise sales team at Citrix Systems in the UK. Under his leadership, the team developed Citrix’s largest 100 commercial and Central Government accounts in the United Kingdom. In addition to his management responsibilities, David was personally responsible for closing some of the largest Citrix deals with the top global financial institutions. Before joining Citrix, Mr. Cumberworth ran the Server Based Computing Business Unit for Computacenter in the UK, a leading IT infrastructure reseller in Europe with 10,000 employees and £2.5 billion in revenue.

“For the last two years, I have battled to justify the CAPEX business case for VDI but it simply didn’t add up due to the incredibly high storage cost,” said David Cumberworth, Vice President of sales for Northern Europe, Atlantis Computing. “After selling Citrix XenDesktop into six of the largest banks in the world, I saw that Atlantis ILIO was deployed or considered by many to reduce storage costs and improve performance. When I first experienced Atlantis ILIO at JPMorgan Chase, I was amazed by the speed of the virtual desktop there – it was incredibly faster than a normal PC. Atlantis has a solution that is revolutionizing both the economics and the user experience of VDI.”

“Atlantis is seeing phenomenal growth from North America and Europe,” said Bernard Harguindeguy, CEO of Atlantis Computing. “Our ability to recruit top notch talent like Joel and David is a testament to the strength of our solutions and market. They each bring experience and know-how that is invaluable to our growth and ability to support a fast-growing channel and customer base.”

Corona-Norco Unified School District Consolidates Virtual Storage Environment with Nexsan E60

Large California School District Achieves Superior Performance, Power Efficiency and High Density after Switching from Fibre Channel to Nexsan iSCSI Storage

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., May 24, 2011 -- Nexsan®, a leading independent provider of disk-based storage systems, today announced that the Corona-Norco Unified School District has standardized on the Nexsan E60™ for its virtual and disaster recovery storage infrastructure. The large school district uses the Nexsan E60, configured with 40 SAS and 20 SATA drives for power-efficient, high density virtual storage of its databases, Exchange-based email system and overall data protection processes.

The Corona-Norco Unified School District is located approximately 45 miles southeast of Los Angeles in western Riverside County. The large district has 31 elementary schools, seven intermediate/middle schools, five comprehensive high schools, a middle college high school and three alternative schools. With an enrollment of over 53,000 students, it is the largest school district in Riverside County and the tenth largest district in California.

To better support its virtual storage and data protection needs, the large school district made a switch from Fibre Channel-based storage to iSCSI solutions two years ago. "The real driving factors for us were the cost per terabyte, as well as the ability to achieve power savings on arrays and maximize disk capacity on a rack," said Brian Troudy, Network Manager, Corona-Norco Unified School District. "We were never fully satisfied with Fibre Channel SANs because of the high costs and lack of flexibility, which is why we shifted to iSCSI. Nexsan iSCSI storage systems make it easier and more cost-effective to add capacity to our consolidated storage environment."

When making the switch, the school district initially selected Nexsan solutions for their ease of use, high efficiency, and value. After using the Nexsan solutions with great satisfaction, the Corona-Norco School District then selected the next-generation E60 E-Series storage system from Nexsan to consolidate its VMware based application data and further enhance its data protection strategy. The school district is now using the E60’s 40 SAS drives to perform primary storage for its Exchange, database and other critical application data. It then uses 20 SATA drives for disk-based backup for complete protection of its school district information.

“The E60 is very easy to service and maintain,” said Troudy. “Space efficiency is also important to us and with the E60 we can now fit 60 drives in just a 4U space. As a previous Nexsan customer, we have always been impressed by their price, ease of use, density and power savings capabilities. The E60 is even more impressive.”

Among the features that the school district benefits from most is the E60’s power efficient AutoMAID® Technology. Using AutoMAID Level 4 technology, the Norco-Corona Unified School District sees up to an 85% reduction in energy consumption without compromising performance for applications such as digital video storage and backup to disk. This has been particularly important for the school district’s IP video surveillance system and archiving.

"We begin to archive at midnight, and during the day most of the disks on the system are spun down," says Troudy. “We now use AutoMAID on the tiered E60 with AutoMAID active on the SATA drives to save considerable power.”

The Nexsan E-Series features an expandable, high density and high performance platform so that mid-market companies have the enterprise-class features they need today, with the scalability to extend their solution for tomorrow. The E60 accommodates 60 disks for up to 180TB of SATA storage in only 4U of rack space. Using AutoMAID level 4 technology, the E60 is considered the most energy-efficient, enterprise-class storage system on the market.

“When it comes to high density storage, mid-market customers like the Corona-Norco Unified School District want enterprise-class features and performance with the ease of use that makes long term management and maintenance trouble-free,” said Victoria Grey, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Nexsan. “Built for superior density and efficiency, the E60 specifically meets these requirements while offering performance and reliability that is second to none.”

The Nexsan E-Series storage systems are available immediately. For more information please visit: www.nexsan.com

Atlantis Computing Named to Everything Channel's CRN Virtualization 100 List

New List Recognizes the Top 100 Vendors in the Virtualization Space

Mountain View, CA, – Atlantis Computing, the leader in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) storage and performance optimization solutions, today announced it has been recognized by Everything Channel in CRN’s new Virtualization 100 list. Featuring the top 100 vendors in the virtualization space as identified by the editorial staff of CRN, the list serves as the de facto resource by which VARs can begin to evaluate the best virtualization products for their business. Atlantis Computing was named to the Virtualization 100 based on the company’s innovative technology and a strong commitment to the channel. This recognition is a strong validation of the company’s superior VDI optimization solutions and strong channel ecosystem that is delivering superior products in one of the fastest growing segments of the IT market.

According to the CRN Fast Growth Study, virtualization is the number one technology that VARs are investing in over the next year. The CRN Virtualization 100 list highlights the most compelling virtualization vendors and solutions to best meet the growing needs of the channel. These featured vendors were selected based on their ability to help VARs transform themselves into true service providers and help organizations and enterprises take advantage of the ease, flexibility, scalability, elasticity and cost savings that leveraging virtualization has to offer.

The Atlantis ILIO software virtual appliance allows organizations to slash the amount and cost of storage for VDI deployments, boosts desktop performance to ensure user acceptance and allows security to be deployed without impacting server density. The solution is easily deployed by Citrix, VMware, and Quest channel partners into existing Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View, and Quest vWorkspace deployments to either support more users on the same infrastructure, or address current scalability and performance issues.

“From server to storage to desktop virtualization, this technology will become a mainstay for businesses large and small and one of the more profitable technologies for VARs to integrate and sell,” said Kelley Damore, vice president, editorial director, Everything Channel. “The Virtualization 100 list showcases the best virtualization technology solutions to help VARs navigate the virtualization landscape and determine which vendor is best suited to meet their unique needs.”

With Atlantis ILIO, the virtual desktop becomes better than a physical PC, while at the same time making their deployments more affordable to IT organizations. The Atlantis solution cuts VDI CAPEX up to 75 percent by using up to 20 times less storage and enabling more storage options to be used including lower cost SAN, NAS or local disks.

“Our software is an essential companion solution for channel partners already selling virtual desktop solutions from Citrix, VMware or Quest,” said Bernard Harguindeguy, CEO, Atlantis Computing. “Atlantis ILIO transforms lingering POCs into well performing deployments and enables VARs and system integrators to increase the pace of their VDI business with offerings that are cost effective and perform well.”

A sample of the Virtualization 100 will be featured in the May 23rd issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.crn.com.

VMware User Group Connecticut to Highlight Actifio?s Virtual Data Management Solution

Actifio to Demonstrate Driving down Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Costs by up to 90 Percent

WALTHAM, Mass. – May 18, 2011 – Actifio™, the leader in Virtual Data Management (VDM), today announced that it will be a featured presenter during the VMware User Group (VMUG) Connecticut event on May 19, 2011 at the Farmington Marriott Hotel in Farmington, Conn. The one-day conference will feature an Actifio presentation, “Introduction to Virtual Data Management – Data Management for AnyIT™” from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. where attendees will learn how they can reduce backup, disaster recovery and business continuity costs by up to 90 percent using Actifio’s VDM solution.

“Tradition has been to deploy a new point tool for every new business requirement; one for backup, another for disaster recovery, yet another for snapshot, and still yet another for business continuity. Each of these point tools are making duplicate copies of your data and overloading the infrastructure,” said Ash Ashutosh, CEO of Actifio. “This is why backup windows and restore windows can never get better. There is no way to fix it and lower your costs with the point-tool approach. With virtualization of IT, it is time to change the traditions.“

People attending the Actifio session will learn how Virtual Data Management is eliminating data vulnerabilities and enabling high business availability by closing all windows, while driving down TCO by up to 90 percent. For virtual, physical or cloud IT infrastructure; AnyIT™.

Actifio Virtual Data Management Featured During the Storage Decisions Backup School in Boston

Actifio Solution for Virtualized Data Protection among the Next-Gen Storage Solutions to be Highlighted during the Free, One-Day Event

WALTHAM, Mass. – May 17, 2011 – Actifio™, the leader in Virtual Data Management (VDM), today announced that its virtualized data protection solution will be featured as a showcased product during the Storage Decisions Next-Gen Backup School on May 17 at the Newton Marriott in Boston. The free, one-day seminar will give IT professionals the tips, tricks and advice to better troubleshoot backup systems and improve operational performance.

“With pervasive virtualization of servers and applications, organizations are looking for similar business and operational benefits across other parts of the IT infrastructure,” said Ash Ashutosh, CEO of Actifio. “This is particularly important when it comes to data protection. Too often, virtualization brings more complexity to the data protection process, rather than increasing productivity and performance. To realize the true value of virtualization, companies need to unify their data protection, disaster recovery and backups into a simple, application-centric service that aligns with business needs. During the Storage Decisions Next-Gen Backup School in Boston, we will demonstrate how Actifio VDM can accomplish this, while shrinking the storage footprint by up to 95 percent.”

By introducing virtualization into data management, Actifio delivers an application-centric, SLA-driven solution that decouples the management of data from storage, network and server infrastructure. The result is a single, radically simple solution at up to 90% lower TCO, to efficiently manage all Copy Data for multiple business requirements: data protection, disaster recovery, business continuity, test & development, analysis or compliance, for virtual, physical or cloud IT infrastructure: AnyIT™ . The result is a radically simple approach that delivers zero backup windows, instant restore of consistent point-in-time copies of data at any location, and efficient management of data for analytics or compliance – all without risk. The seamless solution doesn’t require any changes in infrastructure or operational practices. Instead, it inserts into existing infrastructure to protect investments while reducing overall costs by up to 90 percent.

Registration for the free Storage Decisions “Next-Gen Backup School” seminar begins at 8:00 a.m. and the event runs through 2:45 p.m. For more information, please visit: http://storagedecisions.techtarget.com/seminars/backup_school.html?Offer=eventsite.

Health Care Logistics Speeds Upgrade To SharePoint 2010 With Metalogix Migration Manager For SharePoint

Product Slashes Migration Time for SharePoint 2010 from Four Weeks to Two Days for Leading Health Care Products Distributor and Manufacturer

WASHINGTON, DC, May 17, 2011 – Metalogix Software, the leading provider in content lifecycle management (CLM) solutions for Microsoft® SharePoint®, Exchange®, and legacy environments, announced today that Health Care Logistics has purchased its Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint to migrate from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2010. The health care products distributor and manufacturer determined that if it used native Microsoft tools, migrating to the latest version of SharePoint would have taken four weeks. Leveraging the Metalogix solution the company was able to slash migration time to less than two days, allowing IT to stay focused on business-critical programs.

"We needed a seamless SharePoint migration solution that wouldn't take us weeks to perform. We just couldn't afford to recreate all our unstructured data," said Kurt Wolf, technology director of Health Care Logistics. "Metalogix fit the bill for us. Its Migration Manager for SharePoint was the right solution at the right price, and it could do the job more quickly than we ever thought possible."

Health Care Logistics, which has four offices and two data centers in Ohio, manufactures packages and distributes unique and hard-to-find products such as security seals, compounding and dispensing products, and custom labels to 30,000 accounts and more than 120,000 customers worldwide. Upgrading the company's collaboration platform by migrating from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2010 would improve employee productivity and content manageability. However, the company found that using native Microsoft tools for the migration would take about four weeks. Migrating extensive document libraries of business processes, lists and permissions, and recreating unstructured data, would take IT staff away from other critical-path initiatives, which the company could not afford.

Health Care Logistics needed a seamless solution that could automate and speed up migration while maintaining full fidelity, metadata and user-edit information. The company found the Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint when it began to evaluate third-party solutions. The product automates the highly structured process and features an easy-to-use copy-and-paste interface that enabled the company to quickly consolidate all SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, web parts and permissions between servers. The interface also allowed Health Care Logistics to maintain full fidelity-preserving views, version chains, metadata and user-edit information.

Because the Metalogix solution eliminated the need to build temporary data farms, the migration to SharePoint 2010 was quick and seamless. Health Care Logistics was able to rapidly migrate SharePoint content directly from unattached content databases to live sites. Now IT administrators have the freedom to access multiple SharePoint sites across all of their servers through a simple browser interface.

"The speed with which Health Care Logistics was able to migrate from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint 2010 is typical of the experience our customers have," said Steven Murphy, CEO of Metalogix. "We offer the most comprehensive solution on the market. Migrating multiple types of data is complex, but our automated solution takes the hard labor out of the process."

Metalogix Migration Manager for SharePoint simplifies platform upgrades by providing an easy way for users to migrate content residing in multiple systems requiring multiple data management processes. Users no longer need to maintain multiple stores; instead they can quickly migrate their content silos to a common SharePoint system that supports all content types. Migration to a single, managed SharePoint system also ensures adherence to corporate compliance and governance policies.

Queplix Announces Data Virtualization Suiteapp For Netsuite's Suitecloudcomputing Platform

New SuiteApp Can Help NetSuite Customers Gain Rapid ROI by Reducing Data Management Costs Significantly - http://bit.ly/ipPLWx

Queplix Corp., a leader in data integration and data management, today announced the Virtual Data Manager SuiteApp for the NetSuite SuiteCloud Computing Platform. Queplix Virtual Data Manager automates the process of integrating enterprise applications. Built using NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform, the SuiteApp can help NetSuite customers connect to any non-NetSuite enterprise applications in a matter of days or even hours. This can cut implementation costs significantly and deliver rapid return on investment (ROI).

The announcement was made today at SuiteWorld 2011, NetSuite’s inaugural conference designed for NetSuite customers, solution providers, independent software providers, developers and system integrators. SuiteWorld 2011 is being held in San Francisco.

NetSuite’s SuiteCloud is a comprehensive offering of on-demand products, development tools, and services designed to help customers and commercial software developers take advantage of the significant economic benefits of cloud computing. The complete SuiteCloud offering includes NetSuite’s multi-tenant, always-on SaaS infrastructure; the NetSuite Business Suite of applications for Accounting/ERP, CRM and Ecommerce; and comprehensive development tools to create on-demand business applications on top of NetSuite.

"Integrating systems such as Netsuite with other enterprise applications and data is essential for optimizing important business functions,” says Mark Cashman, CEO of Queplix. “But with legacy tools, the process can be complex and costly. Queplix makes it simpler and less costly, so users get the greatest business value by consistently working with the most up-to-date enterprise information."

Queplix Virtual Data Manager is designed for the business user - no SQL programming is needed. The architecture includes a series of intelligent Application Software Blades that identify and extract key metadata and associated security information from target applications and move it to the Queplix persistent metadata catalog. Once integrated, data remains easily accessible to any number of additional applications, enabling a high degree of flexibility and scalability.

Working with NetSuite
The SuiteApp lets NetSuite customers eliminate the need for cumbersome wire diagrams connecting small pictures of relational database tables to integrate with enterprise applications. The NetSuite application harmonizes data to maintain user interface consistency, and it lets NetSuite customers use their existing security models, without any changes. As a result, they can get substantial cost reductions over legacy integration methods, and rapid ROI – plus access to fresh data from across the enterprise.

"With Queplix, our customers can focus on high level integration functions and issues that drive their businesses forward,” says Guido Haarmans, Vice President Developer Programs and Business Development at NetSuite. "Queplix is built using some of the same principles as NetSuite - ease and speed of deployment, a rich user experience, and the flexibility of a cloud-based approach. This can be especially valuable in larger enterprises that have complex or fragmented legacy applications and Queplix fits well in NetSuite’s two-tier ERP strategy.”

Visit www.suiteapp.com for more information about NetSuite applications.

Nexsan E60 Delivers World?s Most Dense and Efficient Storage with 3 TB SATA Drive Compatibility

New Enhancements to Nexsan E-Series Storage Systems Deliver High Performance and Capacity with the Smallest Footprint and Power Consumption on the Market - http://bit.ly/k3mAsI

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., May 9, 2011 -- Nexsan®, a leading independent provider of disk-based storage systems, today announced that Nexsan E-Series™ storage systems are now the first enterprise-class storage systems shipping with 3TB SATA drives, delivering industry-leading capacity of 180TBs in just 4U of rack space. The E60X expansion chassis can be added to the E60 to house up to 60 more 3TB drives for a total of 360TBs in just 8U of rack space – representing 4 to 5 times the storage density of leading competitors. And with AutoMAID® level 4, Nexsan’s industry-leading power management technology, applications automatically benefit from up to 85% power savings, with no special coding required. Additional enhancements include higher throughput, scaling and interoperability.

“Product ‘specs’ are intrinsically interesting, but only gain real value when they are relevant to the intended users; that’s why Nexsan has chosen to purpose build products for the mid-market,” said Mark Peters, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG). “Its new E Series is based on Nexsan’s Flexible Storage Platform, allowing the delivery of exactly the sort of overall package that demanding mid-market users want - industry-leading storage density and power efficiency, together with enterprise-class features, while retaining a mid-market price point.”

Nexsan also announced that its E18 storage system, previously only available with SSD and SAS drives, will now be offered with 1, 2, and 3TB SATA drives. This addition provides a flexible configuration for customers who do not need the ultimate capacity of the E60, but want to benefit from the higher performance storage controllers which power the E-Series. Like the E60, the E18 can be expanded with an additional 60 drives by virtue of the E60X expansion chassis. Both the E18 and E60 can mix and match SSD, SATA, and SAS drives to meet varying storage requirements. Both systems are now VMware Ready Certified, and are listed on VMware’s hardware compatibility list, Additionally, the E60 and E18 storage systems can now step up from the built-in 1Gb iSCSI ports with an optional dual port 10Gb iSCSI card.

The Nexsan E-Series features an expandable, high density and high performance platform so that mid-market companies have the enterprise-class features they need today, with the scalability to extend their solution for tomorrow. Nexsan E-Series enhancements include:

• Performance: The next-generation storage controller in the Nexsan E-Series delivers 2.3 to 2.5 times the performance for sequential 1KB reads and writes compared to the previous-generation controller used in the SATABeast® and SASBeast® storage systems, and 1.3 to 1.4 times the performance for random 1KB reads and writes.

• Storage Density: Nexsan E-Series 3 TB SATA drive compatibility offers industry-leading storage density of 54TB in 2U with the E18, and 180TB in 4U with the E60. Each storage system can be expanded with the E60X which delivers up to 180TBs in just 4U. This industry-leading storage density is ideal for digital video storage, scientific data, archive storage and consolidated storage environments where large capacities, density, and power efficiency are highly valued.

• Mix and Match Drive Types: The Nexsan E-Series allows the customer to mix and match RAID types and drive types to meet varying storage requirements. RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, and 6 are supported in hardware, and a variety of SSD, SAS, and SATA drives are available.

• VMware Ready Certified: The E-Series has now been VMware certified for use in virtualized environments running ESX 4.0, ESX 4.0 U1, ESX 4.0 U2, ESX 4.1 and ESX 4.1 U1.

“For our environment, power savings, density and reliability are critical requirements,” said Phil Butcher, Head of IT from The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. “With more than 10PB installed, Nexsan’s power-managed storage with AutoMAID helps deliver in an energy and space constrained environment. The E-Series product line also delivers the flexibility and high-density needed so that we can easily scale our infrastructure to meet operational requirements.”

All Nexsan E-Series storage systems feature robust centralized storage management software for simplified deployment, management and support and offer a complete range of enterprise-class features including system redundancy for high availability and powerful performance for demanding applications. The Nexsan E-Series also delivers an easy and quick out of the box experience by integrating reliable Nexsan storage hardware and E-Series intelligence. Advanced technologies for high density, energy efficiency and reliability included with every E-Series storage solution include:

• Active Drawer Technology™ – This revolutionary approach to extreme density simplifies the maintenance of a high density storage system with easy to open drawers which eliminate heavy lifting and keep the drives active when the drawer is opened for adding or removing drives or replacing fans.

• AutoMAID® Technology – Nexsan’s new AutoMAID level 4 technology delivers industry-leading power management for up to 85% reduction in energy consumption without performance compromise for popular applications such as digital video storage and backup to disk.

Harnessing New Media for Competitive Advantage
Today's dynamic information exchange is exploding with new channels of social interaction and fast-moving content across the Web. The opportunities for expanding Web presence, increasing SEO rankings, and lead generation through new and social media channels are endless - and mind boggling.

“The labyrinth of new media channels and social networks on the Internet today present a unique opportunity for companies to expand their Web presence and increase their SEO rankings,” said Joe Austin, CEO, Ventana New Media. “Learning to master these new channels is becoming paramount to heightening brand awareness and establishing market leadership. This webinar will offer strategies for building brand and leadership through SEO-powered communications, content syndication, and community building."

The webinar will discuss how to leverage the myriad of social networks, news communities, blogs, microsites, audio/video distributors and more, for greater business value. Ventana establishes integrated new media programs that help companies outshine the competition, create lead generation platforms, and boost organic search rankings for greater Web visibility and URL authority.

“Now more than ever it is critical to get to engage prospective buyers early in the purchasing process,” said Erich Flynn, CEO, TreeHouse Interactive. “When prospects have a problem, they turn to the Web to solve it. It is during that information search that they start visiting company websites to evaluate their options and ultimately make their purchasing decision. Content syndication on the Web helps drive those prospects to sites with higher SEO rankings, at which point companies can connect with prospects in the research stage and nurture them as leads into customers."
